Special Education Data and Reporting for Children Ages 3 - 21

The Oklahoma State Department of Education requires every public school district to submit data on students aged 3 through 21 who receive special education and related services through an Individualized Education Program (IEP).  The data requested includes:

  • Child Count - a count of students who are enrolled in El Reno Public Schools and on an IEP as of October 1 each year.  This information is used as part of the reporting by the State of Oklahoma to the U.S. Department of Education, as well as determining the financial allocation for our school district from the Oklahoma State Department of Education's State Aid section.
  • Data/Annual Performance Report (APR) - data regarding full-time equivalents (personnel), discipline, exits (graduation and dropouts), environments, as well as other important information about students with disabilities.  The information collected covers the fiscal year (July 1 through June 30).
