• Mentors will serve as role models and tutors providing academic and social support to empower and motivate students to succeed.
• Mentors will boost self-confidence and self esteem.
• Mentoring facilitates mutually beneficial relations between mentor and student.
• The mentoring process involves the community and the school working together to empower students.
