Etta Dale Parents and Students:
Hopefully you are enjoying your summer. I am sure you are finding ways to stay cool and relax. Although it is summer break, Etta Dale has not sat still. We are constantly working to improve all facets of our students educational experience and plan on providing you with a great year. With all our recent improvements, our teachers and students will have a wonderful environment to work together as they acquire the skills necessary to succeed in our society. You will also hear us constantly talking about a partnership with families. We are committed to working with you as parents to ensure your student reaches their educational goals. Please don’t hesitate to ask: “What can we do to help you?”
As we start to look forward to a new school year, I want to inform you about some key dates and events coming up. You will find enclosed with this letter copies of enrollment dates, bell schedules (we will once again have an early release day on Fridays to allow our teachers to spend time together collaborating on the best instruction possible), our school mission statements and classroom expectations. We are very excited about the upcoming school year and the opportunities before us.
Please note the Enrollment/Back to School night scheduled from 4:00 – 7:00 PM on Tuesday, August 12. We would like to have all of our students and families visit Etta Dale on this evening to pick up class schedules and other pertinent information, tour our updated facilities, and visit classrooms to meet with teachers and pick up learning guides for the upcoming school year. This is a great opportunity for students new to our campus to become familiar with it. We will have plenty of our Etta Dale family on hand to guide you around.
If there is anything we can do to assist you please let us know. It requires a collaborative partnership between teachers, students, and parents to maximize student growth and achievement. I feel our students at Etta Dale deserve the best and we will strive to ensure that is what they receive.
If you are new to Etta Dale and have questions regarding anything about the school, we would be happy to sit down with you answer any questions you have. Don’t hesitate to get in touch with us and set up a time to come visit.
We will also once again utilize the Remind101 Text messaging service. We would like to have a high percentage of student and parent signups. This will allow us to communicate quickly when things happen. Please use the following instructions to sign up:
For 8th Grade students and parents: Text: ed8thgrade to (763) 244-1914
For 9th Grade students and parents: Text: ehs9th to (763) 244-1914
